  2. #2 Best Colleges for Agricultural Sciences in AmericaUniversity of FloridaGainesville, FL·4 Year·Rating 3.92 out of 5 8,106 reviewsJunior: My experience with the University of Florida (UF) has been quite positive overall. UF is known for its strong academic programs and rigorous standards which is one of the main reasons I chose to attend. The campus is vibrant, offering over 1,000 student organizations, academic clubs, cultural organizations, sports, or the arts, there is something for everyone. UF benefits from a mix of urban and natural environments, the city is a friendly, college-town vibe and plenty of outdoor activities, cultural events, and a warm climate. However, there are areas for improvement. Some introductory courses can be quite large, making it challenging for students to get individual attention. Streamlining academic advising will be very beneficial. Parking is one of the largest problems too because it is very difficult to find a spot and lots of fines to go around.... It is a great combination between academics and a social scene. I felt like there was always something to do, but there also wasn't immense pressure to go with the crowd. The campus is beautiful with many places to study and hang out with friends. Athens as a whole has also been so much fun to live in. It was more of a small town that I originally expected, but I learned to love its charm. As for academics, I have found great mentorship from my professors, and I have genuinely enjoyed every program I have gotten involved in on campus. Coming here was one of the best decisions I made. There are many opportunities to get involved with campus life such as being a part of one of the 100+ RSOs on campus. I personally made many new friends, got involved in many different organizations, and learned so much from my professors' and peers' experiences. Research Park is a great place to work as an intern with multiple reputable companies, and I feel more prepared after doing an internship in Research Park. The campus scenery is beautiful as well. If you are in liberal arts, there is a nice community but it is small and not nearly as funded as the STEM programs. Campus is walkable filled with nice community spaces and plenty of libraries, cafes, and rooms to study and meet with classmates. A lot of school spirit centered around the athletics. Most people live off campus starting second year. The apartments in Chauncey Square are an excellent location and close to night life spots and restaurants. Campus is very diverse and there are many opportunities to join clubs and student groups. Purdue is only 1 or 2 hours away from two different international airports, and shuttle busses run nearly everyday between those airports and Purdue campus, making travel easier for international or out of state students. I was able to study in multiple areas on campus, attend supplemental instruction and gain more practice and reaffirm me knowledge of the material in class. I found out the best way I retain material and what study habits worked best for me. Overall, I have only a few things I would change. I had a roomate issue which escalated and it was reported multiple times, but housing took a while to resolve the issue. 24. #22 Best Colleges for Agricultural Sciences in AmericaUniversity of Idahom*oscow, ID·4 Year·Rating 3.7 out of 5 1,867 reviewsFreshman: Attending the University of Idaho marked a significant transition for me, pushing me into new experiences and opportunities. Situated in the charming town of Moscow, the university's faculty have to make do with little towns resources. Despite our geographical disposition, the campus remains pretty with a variety of weekly events, offering not only a sense of community but also reasonable prices for entertainment. However, the cost of on-campus meals and first-year housing often proves burdensome for students, straining their budgets. While I am generally satisfied with my campus experience thus far, I particularly want to make changes in the realm of student housing. My initial year in the dormitories was lackluster at best and left me with a sense of isolation often. Although with all things considered...I love the University of Idaho! GO VANDALS!... 26. #24 Best Colleges for Agricultural Sciences in AmericaCal Poly San Luis ObispoSan Luis Obispo, CA·4 Year·Rating 3.77 out of 5 4,017 reviewsSenior: Cal Poly gives a lot of bang for your buck, especially as an amazing school everybody around the world wants to go to. The learn-by-doing attitude reigns true with most of the classes taken here. It may be tough for you or your child to feel welcome here at first but it gets better with time as you find people you enjoy. Classes are great and for every 5-9 professors there's 1 bad one. The school/area is more right-leaning than other schools in the state which may be your cup of tea. The Frat party culture is very toxic here, and I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to pay over 200-300 dollars a month. Plus partying is bad for your health :/. The area is wonderful for outdoors but the party life outside of frats is left much to be desired. There are minimal bars on the main street and no true club to go to in the area which is unfortunate. Christian life is superb here as there are a variety of different churches for people to try out! There isn't enough to do here but it's great!... 27. #25 Best Colleges for Agricultural Sciences in AmericaMississippi State UniversityMississippi State, MS·4 Year·Rating 3.96 out of 5 2,275 reviewsGraduate Student: I loved my time at Mississippi State. I grew up going to campus frequently and was so excited to finally get to campus. The past 4 years definitely exceeded my expectations. Overall, the campus is beautiful and it is easy to get to and from classes in a timely manner. The town is big enough to have a good time, but small enough to keep the small SEC feeling at the same time. I can honestly say in my 4 years taking classes, I could count on my hand the professors that I did not like: they care about their students and work to help in anyway that they can. Some of the buildings are a little outdated, but there are many renovations occurring on the campus right now to improve this. I would highly recommend attending MSU!...
