It is quite rare to be a spouse of someone whose media resume is off the chains, and still maintain a private life but Lisa Rober is doing this effortlessly. She has been with Mark Rober through his days at NASA, a stint at Apple, and now that he is a YouTube sensation. However, you would hear or see very few things about her.

Lisa Rober and Mark Rober Met in College
Lisa Rober was born Lisa Nicole Earl on June 24, 1980. She is related to John Earl and Rosemary Earl who were both born in the 1940s.
Lisa Nicole attended Brigham Young University as soon as she was done with high school. It was at the university that she met Mark in the late 90s/early 2000s.
News has it that they became smitten by each other when they met and soon began dating.
Lisa graduated from the university with a Bachelor of Arts degree while Mark earned a Mechanical Engineering degree. He also went on to get a Master’s degree from the University of Southern California.
Mark Rober and his wife got married a couple of years after meeting (mid-2000s). In 2004, her husband began to work with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. He joined the administration’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and was a staff there for 9 years, until 2013.
While there, Mark worked on the Curiosity Rover now located on Mars. He helped in the design and delivery of hardware on a lot of projects run by JPL.
The couple have been together for 2 decades now and with how private Lisa is, there’s no evidence of trouble in paradise, even if there actually is.
They Have a Son Together
Lisa and her husband welcomed a son together in 2007. The boy’s birth and existence were kept private for a long time and it wasn’t known that Lisa and Mark were parents till the former NASA staff opened up about it.
Lisa’s son is a special kid who Mark has explained, is on the autistic spectrum. Rober however made the revelation in a bid to shed light on autism as well as help other kids born autistic.
He admitted that he had always wanted to keep his family, consisting of his wife and son, private. However, when the need presented itself, he didn’t pass off on the opportunity to create awareness.
Lisa and Mark’s son is special and has a contagious laugh according to Mark. He also loves to make acquaintances and when he does, the first thing he asks is the person’s favorite color.
When Lisa’s son gets the information, he goes on to make a mural using his favorite color and writes a letter at the back.
Lisa’s son was the inspiration behind Mark and Jimmy Kimmel’s live stream which raised $3 million. The money was raised in support of NEXT for AUTISM.
There is however a misconception that Mark has 3 children. This is widely believed because he has featured 2 other young kids in videos. However, the kids are not his biological children but his niece and nephew.
Lisa Rober and Her Husband May Have Worked at Apple At the Same Time
After working at NASA for 9 years, Mark also worked with Apple as a product designer. Now, it looks like he wasn’t the only Rober who worked with the smart appliance company.
In a boomerang video Mark uploaded on October 3, 2017, his wife was seen eating a salad and on her top was clipped an I.D. The description on the badge led many people to believe that she was also an Apple staff.
People took to the comment section to ask if she was indeed a staff of the organization. Someone also responded to one of the comments by saying Lisa just posted that she was quitting the job.
There was however no confirmation or denial of either assumption from either Lisa or her husband.
Her Husband is Now a Renowned YouTuber
Mark Rober has since left the corporate world to focus on creating YouTube content. He however started the YouTube channel while he worked at NASA.
He has amassed, from this new stride, billions of views on his content as well as millions of subscribers to his channel.
His videos are mostly centered on what he does as an engineer. He brings to people’s faces, interesting things that happen when you experiment with certain components and materials.
Through his job, he has also founded Crunch Labs, a company that makes and delivers toys that help humans think like engineers.
In some of his videos, Lisa Rober’s husband recruited and featured his nephew and niece. This is why most people assumed he was their father. He shares quite a bond with the kids and so it is understandable that the relationship was mistaken.
Despite being such a famous person on social media and even partnering with fellow YouTube sensation, Mr.Beast, Rober’s family remains very private.
His wife has led a low-key, out-of-social-media life for a long while now.
Up until he chose to reveal his son’s special condition, Lisa and Mark were tight-lipped about the existence of the boy.
However, now, he does all he can to help the boy and also help other children living with autism. As a result, his son has been featured in a couple of his videos and social media awareness posts.
