I'm in Frankfurt on business until Saturday and looking to play some pool. Can anyone recommend a nice place to go?
Somewhere I can go and feel safe would be preferred. Good playing equipment, some serious pool players, maybe a tourny would be nice.
If there are any AZ'ers out here that want to meet up. Drop me an email a PM.
Thanks,
Abe

All you need to do is walk in and say,"Wer zockt mit mir fuer ein tausender?" and wave a fistful of those damn Euro's in the air.,,,you will have those German kids falling all over each other to get to you. Oh yeah, and tell them you play Straight Pool, that will give you the edge.

Before I translated that phrase, it sounded like "who wants to take off my trousers?" which would make the rest of the sentence a lot funnier.

Sascha & Maik... I'm without a car until Saturday so driving and meeting up to play currently not an option. Thanks for the offer though.
I just got done having dinner here in the Frankfurt Airport. Probably going to take a cab somewhere to play. I will check out the places which were recommended online first. Hopefully none too far from the airport.
Thanks,
Abe

Hourly rates are usually around 7,50€. If you want to play some serious pool I would advise you to go to a pool club nearby. There you would meet players ranging from banger to pro. BV Mörfelden-Walldorf would be very close and I think they have a flatrate for outside players of 10€.

Thanks for the reply, seems that Billiard Lounge is kinda far from my hotel( Marriot). BV Mörfelden-Walldorf is pretty far according to google map. Thanks for the recommendation anyway.

Hi sascha,
I'm back in Frankfurt, Germany for a short time. I'd like to meet up and shoot some if you are free. I'm landing Friday Oct 14th and leave back for the U.S. the following Tuesday. I'm free all day Saturday.
If anyone else is in/near Frankfurt and would like to meet for some pool, send me an email at abe.lim72@gmail_dot_com.
Also, any recommendations for places to play near Frankfurt Airport would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Regards,
Abe
