Will Solace
He worked on the sandcastle with Nico. He looked over at the younger boy and smiled. His hair was messed up flying in the air from air drying from playing in the water. There was sand in his hair and all over his legs and hands. His face was scrunched in an awkward position as he was diggin the edge of the moat.
He smiled at the scene when Nico looked over at him. As soon as he noticed that he was staring he smirked before turning back to his moat.
Will felt his face flush slightly, getting caught staring was not a part of the plan.
He continued to work on the place of his dug out window on the castle. Nico had chosen the spot way over to the left instead of the one to the left.
He made the window one of the basic ones, he made it have 4 little beams k=making it look like 4 little windows. He got some draft wood and broke it to make a window sill. He got a darker piece of wood to make some accent shutters and he carved some small designs into them with a stick not liking how planned they were compared to the rest of the build.
He looked over at Nico again once he was done with the window, he had made the drawbridge over the moat, the chains looked somewhat real, Will had no clue how he did that.
He looked at Nico and asked,” How did you do that?’
Nico raised an eyebrow confused,” Do what?”
Will sputtered,” The chain thing, it’s like–real!”
Nico looked down at the chain made of sand like he had forgotten about it. “Oh yeah, I don’t have as much control over the earth like my sister but I compressed the sand to make it sturdier, if we had Leo here we could probably make it a functioning drawbridge.”
WIll stared at him in shock with her mouth hanging open before sputtering into scolding,” Why did you use your powers if you don’t need to! I swear if you pass out again DI Angelo!”
“Will!” Nico interrupted him,” It’s nothing, I feel fine, I promise.”
Nico gave him a look and rolled his eyes.
Will still scolded and grabbed his wrist checking his pauls and body for any shadows.
After he opened his eyes he saw Nico glaring at him which he combated with his own glare making Nico look away.
He went back to the sandcastle telling Nico,” Do not overuse your powers, remember your limits.”
He felt Nicos eyes burn into his side as he muttered,” I know my limits are crushing and aren't it.”
WIll gave him a look,” I know that, I just don’t want you having another death scare.”
Nico looked at him and grabbed his hand,” I promise you I won’t try to get another death scare.”
Will nodded knowing Nico was true to his word when Nico added,” I don’t really want to work in my Dad’s palace longer than I already will have to.”
Will smiled slightly at that, he knew Nico didn’t mean to give him death scares but boy had that boy come close.
They continued to work on their sandcastle in silence, still holding hands in front of the castle hiding it from the view of the others.
They continued to work with a small breeze and the waves crashing along the shore behind them.
They finished the sand castle around 30 minutes later.
He looked at Nico and smirked. Nico looked at him before looking at the dragon he had built and rolled his eyes bumping into him as they stood up.
As they approached the others Nico didn’t release his hand until Piper looked over and smirked.
He and Nico sat down under a tree by the towel or blanket thing.
Nico took his hand again. Will felt ripples of happiness fall through him like the water’s ripples.
Nico leaned into his shoulder and started to doze off.
“You can fall asleep, Neeks,” he told him.
“M not tired,” He mumbled out, yawning , his eyes still closed.
Will chuckled lightly,” Yeah right,” He said just as Nico started to doze off.
He smiled as Nioc fell into him, trusting him in his sleep.
Nico’s head laid on his arm/stomach because WIll was sitting in the word way that isn’t laying or sitting but is awful for your neck.
He smiled as Nico’s hand tightened around him making sure he wouldn’t let go. Nico layed there soaking up the sunshine as he slept.
WIll smiled at him when Jason came over.
He sat on the opposite side of WIll and smiled at Nico before saying in a quiet voice,” You are good for him.”
WIll felt his face fall into a smile,” Thanks.”
Jason smiled looking at Nico again. “ Please take care of him, I know you guys aren’t together but please take care of him.”
There was a lingering of where Jaosn paused and the word yet could have been placed. He looked over at Jason and said,” I always will.”
Jason looked like he was deciding between staging and saying something more or leaving.
He chose the first one because he said,” We both know he does know his limits-” He hesitated again,” Please know he wouldn’t purposely overuse his powers. I know this probably sounds weird coming from me, the guy who worries too much as Nico says but, he does know he has a grip on his powers. If I am being honest I think he has become stronger since the statue.”
WIll nodded in agreement,” He has, I just don’t want him to overgo his limits again.”
Jason nodded,” He knows his limits, he won’t go over them as long as you're around.”
Will nodded slightly a little giddy on what that implied. That Nico likes him! Well he already said he did but maybe like like like him!
Jason smiled and looked over at Piper,” I got to go man, see you later.”
He nodded,” See ya later.”
